A classic, traditional dessert you can now enjoy anytime

  • 2 kg of carrots (washed and grated)
  • 1 liter of Haleeb All Purpose Milk
  • 1 teaspoon of cardamom seeds
  • ¾ cup of water
  • 3 tablespoons of Haleeb Asli Desi ghee
  • 2 tablespoons of raisins (soaked for 30 minutes)
  • 2 tablespoons of almonds (shredded)
  • 2 tablespoons of pistachios (shredded)
  • 450 grams of sugar

In a medium pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the grated carrots, letting them cook for 5 to 7 minutes on high heat. Now turn the heat down and add the Haleeb All Purpose Milk. Let it cook, simmering gently on low heat for an hour. Keep checking on it and stir occasionally. Add sugar and mix well to ensure all the sugar has dissolved.

Allow the mixture to reduce until all the milk has been absorbed. Now add Haleeb Asli Desi ghee, mix well and let it cook, simmering on low heat, for 2 to 3 minutes. Now add the raisins and the cardamom seeds and mix well again before taking it off the heat.

Serve hot with the almonds and pistachios added on top for garnishing.
